I love the weather widget! Ok. So, I skipped ahead a few bc widgets sounded fun. I am getting a little tired of checking my Bloglines. It is just like checking my email. Now, if I could be alerted when there was a new post that would be nice. Back to widgets. I want to find more.

Bloglines continued several weeks later

I managed to get Bloglines set up. Setting up the RRS was not hard with that Sub Bloglines tool, but I am having trouble linking it to my blog. I found the HTML that I need to insert into my template but I don't know where. It kept giving me an error message and I finally gave up. It also said that I needed to have a standard template, which I thought that I had. I don't want to give up my fun dots background. I think that the RSS is good to have for prof. dev. and keeping up with legislative issues affecting libraires. I have the District Dispatch on my Bloglines. I just think that I will have to really stay on top of checking it.

Bloglines

I am getting a little frustrated that I have to download everything... My computer is so ancient.

I set up a bloglines account. I think that this will be great for professional development and keeping up on what is going on in the field. I selected a couple of blogs, but the site said it could not locate any at the moment and to try back. How do you find more interest specific blogs? I am going to look through my Web 2.0 notes and see if the instructor made any suggestions. The jury is still out on the ease of using Bloglines. More later...

This is the slowest Saturday. I feel little chastised for not posting my comments about 27 Things.
(Sorry, Katherine. I really appreciate all of the work that you are putting into this.)

My computer can not handle Flash Player 8 so I feel that I do not have a good grasp of the Mashups. :( I was really excited about Flickr, but Bruce downloads the pictures from the camera onto the computer and does not label them. So, I am looking at 100s of pictures labeled DSCN88703a. Argh! I miss my old pictures that I put in the album. I really think that Flickr would be a great way of sharing pics, yet, I do not think anything can replace actually holding my wedding album and cherishing every picture on the page.
